Welsh Taxes 2019-20

From April 2019, the UK Government will reduce the 3 rates of Income Tax paid by the Welsh taxpayers: 

 

• Basic rate from 20% to 10% 

• Higher rate from 40% to 30% 

• Additional rate from 45% to 35% 

 

The Welsh Government will then decide the Welsh rates of Income Tax which will be added to the reduced UK rates. 

 

The National Assembly for Wales has agreed the proposed Welsh rates of Income Tax for 2019-20, which means there will be no change to overall Income Tax rates for taxpayers in Wales.
